Imagine departing your Canadian Fly-in Lodge aboard your own private float plane and flying to a totally remote lake to fish for the day where you're the only people. We make this totally possible for you.
These Canada fly-out fishing trips have so much to offer, excellent fishing, the thrill of taking off and landing on a totally remote lake, the float plane flight itself with it’s  bueatiful Canadian scenery the magnificent view of the north country from the air. Many guests return with the comment that the excellent fishing was just secondary to the rest of the trip. No wonder it is such a popular fly-in fishing package to our guests on there Canada Vacation Trips. This is a fun filled package for the guests that want a truly memorable experience for there group.

Our day trips leave Cat Island Lodge in the morning, flying you to your remote lake for the day where you will find fully equipped boats and motors. Spend the day fishing a secluded lake abundant with fighting walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass or trout. Your lunch can be either a shore lunch of freshly caught fish or a box lunch and sandwiches prepared by our kitchen staff. We'll pick you up late in the afternoon and bring you back to our base by 5.pm..What a way to see our spectacular Canadian wilderness and enjoy an exciting day of fishing.

We must utilize the aircraft for the price as listed below. Below is a listing of the criteria necessary for obtaining the price as listed. The aircraft/float planes we utilize are an “Otter DHC-3”, "Beech 18", or a "Cessna 185". The Otter Dhc-3, a single engine float plane, is well known as being the work horse of the North and has a capacity of 9 persons. The Beech 18 is a twin engine float plane and has a capacity of 6-8 persons. I generally refer to the Beech 18 as the Cadillac of float planes when it comes to quickness and a smooth trip. The Cessna 185 is a single engine aircraft and has a capacity of 2-3 persons and of course is used for our smaller groups.

To sustain the spectacular fisheries on these smaller lakes we offer catch and release or conservation limits only on all our day lakes.
